To produce graphite electrode, first, needle coke powder is molded and compressed with a vibrator. Then the formed electrode is baked in the oven. After baking, a layer of bitumen is added to it. Finally, this product is placed again at a temperature of 3000 degrees Celsius and turns into graphite.
After the production process, the turning operation is performed on the electrodes. These electrodes are mostly produced in cylindrical form and after production they must be cut into standard diameters. It is necessary to install a pin as a socket to the head of the electrode
