Frochrome is produced from the concentration, enrichment, pelletization and lumping of chrome ore in the heat treatment smelting recovery unit. Ferrochrome is mainly used in the production of stainless steel, hard steels and some valuable alloys. It can increase their anti-erosion resistance. It is also used for plating and creating a hard and beautiful surface and also to increase anti-corrosion resistance. Its other uses can be mentioned in foundries for the production of iron and steel, glass, cement, ceramics, machinery, plating, reducing decay, polishing metals, pigments, tanning compounds and wood protection.
